FS2000 USAAF Polikarpov I-16 painted in a shaded yellow
and aluminum texture. I have replaced the Original Russian
Insignia with WWII US insignia. Aircraft is an open
cockpit aircraft, retractable landing gear, with custom
panel and all movable flight surfaces. Original Aircraft

INSTALLATION:
INSTALLATION: Unzip the file "POLIKAAF.ZIP"into your "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FS2000\Aircraft" Folder. Your should end up with a folder named "Polikarpov 16 AAF". Under the folder "Polikarpov 16 AAF", you will have five folders: GAUGES
MODEL
PANEL
SOUND
TEXTURE
Copy the 6 files from the folder "GAUGES" shown above, to C:\Program files\Microsoft Games\FS2000\GAUGES. If you have already downloaded these gauges, and installed them, the gauges will already be there in the "GAUGES" folder. When you copy the gauges, Windows Explorer will advise you if they already exist. This Acft will use the default C182 Sound. When selecting this aircraft in FS2000 it will read "Polikarpov 16 AAF". I have also increased the braking strength of this aircraft which will cause a nose-over condition if the aircraft engine is run up to max with the brakes on. Releasing the brakes and moving the throttle to max on normal take-off should not cause any problems. All of my C182RG, T-41, Extra 300S and Learjet 45 aircraft can be flown in CFS2 by downloading the CFS DP files created by JEAN-JACQUES PAREL. Several of my aircraft are in military colors and suitable for CFS1. You can search for his files by using the file search function. Search for "Parel" or use the specific file names listed below. You can also search for all of my aircraft under "Bongiovanni" to determine if you want to use any of my Military version aircraft in CFS2

NOTES: If you like to fly out of Meigs Airport, you should download the file "Meigs1.zip from SurClaro. You will love how he improved the scenery. Look for quality scenery and tutorials by Andreas Klisch.
If you are looking for excellent quality aircraft, go to "file search" on SurClaro and look for aircraft by "Mike Field" and "Jean-Jacques Parel". You won't be dissapointed. You can search by their name in the file search area.

FS2000 Polikarpov I-16 painted red and blue colors. A World War II Soviet open cockpit monoplane, excellent for VFR, which can reach the speed of 300 Mp/h. Features full moving parts. Original by Chuck Dome.
I have repaints this one because I found that it was a very good aircraft but which its original colors were a little too dark (News are fictionnals).
I have also realise, using CfgEdit, a new panel which comprises all the instruments and orders necessary to the piloting of this one.
Patch is for the users of polired.zip (see note at the end of text).
If you don't have it, delete this folder.
I hope that you will like this aircraft.
Important Note for the users of polired.zip : Plorired.zip is Polikarpov I-15 (i made an error). Please replace in the old file of poloikarpov 16 (obtained by plorired.zip), the file aircraft by that contained in the folder patch of this archive (otherwise you will have 2 aircraft which the same name).
This files should not cause problems with your computer, but I accept no responsibility if you think it does.

Here's my version of a Polikarpov I-16 WWII Soviet fighter for FS2000.
It's not meant to be highly detailed but simply to evoke the overall shape
of the actual aircraft. I chose it because I wanted to do an open cockpit aircraft and I thought the Polikarpov looked really cool. The flight model is basically a modified CFS2 F4F Wildcat. Enjoy!
To install, unzip the ZIP file into the main folder of FS2000 (the one in which the FS2000.EXE file resides). In that way, the gauges for the custom panel will automatically be sent to the correct subfolder. Do NOT unzip into the \AIRCRAFT subfolder. Be sure to check the "Use Folder Names" box in WinZip.
